ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Liliana

WHERE I COME FROM

I am a Colombian American woman full of dreams and ideas, I am an immigrant, an advocate and a community organizer.

I am a mental health clinician, a program director and a board member. I am the friend, the sister, the mother, the neighbor. I am the one able to connect and create.

I am YOUR candidate for Ward 5 in the City of Lynn.

A THRIVING CAREER

Liliana is currently serving as Senior Director of Community Impact and Development for Eliot Community Human Services. Within her role Liliana oversees several programs, including the Eliot Family Resource Centers (FRC), Lynn CALM, RISE Project, Everett Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Network, in addition to support other programs in the organization, including the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), Family Homeless Prevention and others.

Her passion to work with families started when she was a preschool teacher where she discovered the need families had with everyday information, including child development, community resources, cultural- linguistic support and more.  She continued her career working as a home visitor for the Melrose – Wakefield Healthy Families Program. For twelve years, Liliana supported first-time parents ages 24 and under from multiple towns, diverse cultural backgrounds, minority groups, and low-income communities to achieve their personal and parenting goals, in addition to developing their education and professional goals. During this time, Liliana learned how multiple state and local agencies worked, she developed relationships with state and local leaders as well as with multiple community agencies, always seeking support for the families she was serving.

While working full time and taking care of her family in 2015 she completed her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in marriage and family at Cambridge College. That same year she joined Eliot Community Human Services where her ability to connect, advocate and adjust has led her into multiple roles, from Outpatient Clinician to School Clinical Supervisor, FRC Director and now as a Senior Director she is able to continue working directly with agencies and leaders in the community to support individuals and families the best way possible.

MISSION STATEMENT

Honor the uniqueness in each of us.

Liliana truly believes in the importance of focusing on the cultural uniqueness of each individual. Her goal is to create supportive resources that fit the communities needs and challenges, allowing them to explore new opportunities and support so they can achieve their maximum potential.
